Homelessness and rough sleeping is on the rise in Knox
The causes of Homelessness are complex, with no single trigger. Individual, interpersonal and structural factors play a role and interact with each other.
A person is homeless if they live in a dwelling that is inadequate, they have no security of tenure, or they do not have control, or access, to space for social relations. This may include people living in improvised dwellings, tents and sleeping out in supported accommodation for the homeless, within temporary accommodation in other households, in boarding houses, other temporary lodgings, and in severely overcrowded buildings.
The Homelessness Resource brochure has been developed to provided support to people who are experiencing homelessness in Knox.
