Knox Children & Family Centres - Bayswater & Wantirna South

Our two Children & Family Centres located in Bayswater and Wantirna South, include the following services:

The Knox Children and Family Centres are designed to bring together many different kinds of services for children and their families in one location. This will assist families to have a better awareness of the extensive early years services Council offers, and provide them with easier access to multiple services. All services under one roof will also mean that children’s development can easily be supported from early age through to preschool without the need for repeat conversations between families and staff.

Long Day Care

We provide child care and education for children between the ages of birth to five years of age. The Centres are open Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm.

Each centre provides a healthy, stable education and learning environment for children. Our experienced and professional staff welcome families into our friendly centres where each child's individual needs are our priority.

Both centres offer education and care 49 weeks of the year.

As part of our ongoing commitment to improvement, we have implemented an integrated online waiting list management service as well as an online Enrolment. This service is known as My Family Lounge (MFL).

Kindergarten in our Long Day Care Program

Children can access their Funded Kindergarten Year in our Long Day Care program, which is offered Monday to Friday between 7am and 6pm to allow for flexibility for those parents with work commitments. Our program is delivered by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher.

The minimum attendance requirements is three days a week, to ensure that your child receives 15 hours per week of Kindergarten Program.

FEES

$142.80 per day per child (1July 2019 - 30 June 2020*) * extended to 31 Jan 2021
$698.25 per week per child (1 July 2019 - 30 June 2020) *extended to 31 Jan 2021
$147.05 per day per child (1 Feb 2021 - 30 June 2021)

Fees for child care and education are reviewed annually, each financial year.

Occasional Care Only available at Wantirna South

Occasional Care is flexible, high quality, child care and education offered Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 4:30pm for children from birth to five (5) years of age.

Bookings open on a Monday, at 8:30am for the following week. Bookings for the current week, can be made, depending on availability.

$16.80 per hour (1 July 2019 - 30 June 2020*) *31 Jan 2021
$17.00 per hour (31 January 2021 - 30 June 2021)

Fee Subsidies for Long Day Care and Occasional Care

Parents may apply for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) through the Australian Government Department of Human Services website or call 13 61 50.

4 Year Old (Sessional) Kindergarten

Fees

'No Jab No Play' is the Victorian Government legislation requiring all children to be fully immunised before enrolling in any childcare and/or Preschool in Victoria.

All children enrolling in early childhood education and care services will need to be up to date with their immunisation or have an approved exemption.

The Knox Maternal & Child Health Service is a free, confidential service providing child health and developmental checks, information, advice and support to families with young children from birth until 6 years of age.
